This is what you can experience at the "choux buns" stand, a dream of chefs Alain Ducasse and Christophe Michalak, that came to being 27th January 2014.
Street food is in fashion at the moment. All over the world people cook and eat by stands in the street. In France, most people eat "viennoiseries" (little pastries – croissants, pain aux raisons etc.) on the go. Chef Alain Ducasse realised this whilst observing people on the streets of Paris, and this is how he came up with the idea of the "choux bun minute" - mixing street food with fine French pastry!
It took months of trials by Christophe Michalak and Alain Ducasse to fine tune the size of the viennoiseries and to find the perfect mix of flavours for the choux buns, creams, salted choux buns and other small pastries offered at the stand. As a result, "Choux d'Enfer" will satisfy your sweet tooth, as well as providing delicious savoury alternatives. There is a large range of flavours from the classic chocolate choux bun and the irresistible salted butter caramel flavour bun to the surprisingly tasty curry, comte cheese and Espelette pepper flavoured buns. There is such a wide variety of flavours at "Choux d'Enfer", you could be there all day!
