Pop and Modern Art exhibition at Château de Pommard
The Bartoux Galleries are celebrating Keith Haring amidst masters such as Joan Mirò, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, all echoed by the best contemporary artists such as Julien Marinetti and Richard Orlinski, just to name a few.
This event is inscribed in the exceptional artistic encounters of Château de Pommard’s 2012 season. This year the Bartoux Galleries’ will honor the masters of Modern and Contemporary Art in Pommard’s spellbinding environment. In 2009 is was Salvator Dali, in 2010 it was Pablo Picasso and today’s guests of honor at the Château are Modern and Pop Art.
Maurice Giraud, the Château’s owner, is an art lover and collector. He is especially fond of the great 20th century artists who have embodied and invented their century beyond trends, thereby attaining universal expression. Thus, it seemed a most natural choice for one of the world’s most prestigious wineries to yearly open its doors to famous modern and contemporary artists.
Château de Pommard has entrusted the reknown Bartoux Galleries with the mission of selecting the works that are most likely to be in line with the site as well as the owner’s artistic vision. The Galleries have chosen to take a new look at Pop and Modern Art to illuminate this exceptional context, between the vineyard and the sky.
The Bartoux Galleries invite art lovers, wine lovers and all Pop and Modern Art lovers to share this new and unique experience in the heart of Burgundy at Château de Pommard until November 30, 2012.
